What is an ArtStation Marketplace global discount?
ArtStation Marketplace sales events enable sellers to gain more visibility for their products by taking part special limited time sales organized and promoted by ArtStation. The dates of the event are set by ArtStation with sellers being notified in advance to opt in.
During the sale period, all products by participating sellers will appear on the default Sales tab on the ArtStation Marketplace with their discounted price.
The seller sets their own discount for the event and may change their discount price for each event. The discount they select applies to all products in their store. At the end of the sale, the product prices revert back to their original price.
Why should I take part in ArtStation Marketplace sales?
Taking part in sales events on the ArtStation Marketplace is a great way to get visibility for your products and benefit from the additional traffic from the promotion.
How will buyers be able to discover my discounted products?
The ArtStation Marketplace sale events will be promoted by ArtStation to the community. All discounted products will be displayed in on the Marketplace homepage under the Sale tab. This tab will be the default for all visitors during the sale period.
How can I participate in ArtStation Marketplace sales events as a seller?
To participate in a future sale event, go to your Discount Settings located on the right sidebar of your Manage Products page.
There, you use the tumbler to switch on “Participate in Discounts” and choose the percentage of discount you’d like to offer. The discount will be applied to all your products during the upcoming events. Once the sale event is over, your products will automatically return to their original price. The amount will be as set until you decide to change the settings again.
If you want to stop participating in sales and always display your full prices, simply switch the “Participate in ArtStation Sales” tumbler off. You can do this at any time.
Please note that your final price after discounts can not be less than $1. (Sales do not affect free products.)
For example, if you have a digital product priced at $2 and you chose a 70% discount, the buyer will still see the price of $1. In this example even though you set the discount to 70%, the applied discount for this product was only 50%.
